Today I've got frustrated with sync on Chrome, for some reasons it was not adding new app links that I have created on a different computer. I thought what's the big deal, there should be a sync now button, apparently there is none.  You are forced to rely on automated process to figure out when it's convenient time to sync. Question which comes to my mind first what if such process fails, what am I going to do. Looks like the only way to force it is to logout and then log back in, keeping your fingers crossed and hoping that it will work. Next thing which came to my mind was: wait a minute, that's the same company which builds self driven cars.  So I am guessing that those car won't have any manual controls either, and when something fails...  well wish us luck. Don't get me wrong I am all for automation and innovations, however there is gotta be a fall back to manual mode just in case something went wrong. I am proud to announce beginning of new chapter for IonTec team. Decades we've been involved in different web projects and now with openness that Android has to offer we are starting new project and that project is application for Android OS. I am not going to say much here about new project I am just going to say that we are planing two versions one of them going to be commercial and one free, potentially free version may become open source version. Today is the day of big changes for me, my personal web site went live. You can found it at sergey.iontec.co also I made some changes for IonTec team web site, I decided to try Googel Apps. They have free version, and I figured that it is exactly what we need for our team. Back to my web site, I've decided to work on it in few steps, as a first step is running static version of my site, some simple stuff like resume, static content, working on ZendFramework. Next step is going to be implementing of ideas I have for making content more dynamic. Then I am going to implement some interesting connection options :). Here I decide to release some thoughts about my ideal smartphone. First question going to be what I am looking for in the phone. After short research I found that mostly I am going to use WiFi. Because WiFi is almost everywhere so I am looking forward to use free WiFi as well as my WiFi connection at home. Second thing what I am looking for is good carrier and good rates and as a bonus I am expect to get touch screen in my ideal phone. Ok let's start research, what are options out there. I am giveup on Windows Mobile phones, windows just does not work for me at all, I useto use WM phone few years ago, and it was just awful as a phone too slow too buggy. I really see just few options for smartphone iPhone, Android phone and probably BlackBerry. Let's check out what is available for AT&T because I am really like this carrier and whant to stay on it even though I am using GoPhone I think it is pretty good carrier. Let's make a match we have iPhone and BlackBerry available ...

I'd like when everything work out of box, but I don`t like WIndows, once I've tried Linux I've love it, especially Ubuntu. But as usually in linux it takes a lot of time to start. Let's see what we have, ok choices: - Ubuntu 8.10 64Bit - Ubuntu 8.10 32Bit - Ubuntu 8.04 32Bit - Ubuntu 8.04 64Bit(I just forget about that release, and actually didn't tried yet) There is a common problem for all this distributives, if you ran Windows Vista(by default with that laptop) even one time it will made some changes(switches) in your network adapter and then wired network adapter didn't work out of box in Ubuntu. But wired network fix I will describe later. My goal is found most working Ubuntu out of box, and then tweak it. Let's start from 8.10 64 bit. After installation I'll get working system(as usual in Ubuntu case), everything works, but there are a lot of issues with that version: - biggest issue is a lot of software still not working properly, or just don`t ha...
